GRAYSLAKE, Ill. - Washingtoner -- Bring Dad and the family to the Grayslake Summer Dog Shows, hosted by the Skokie Valley Kennel Club at the Lake County Fairgrounds (1060 E. Peterson Road, Grayslake, IL 60030) on Saturday and Sunday, June 14-15, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM for a pawsome Father's Day celebration! With free admission and only a $10 parking fee at the Fairgrounds, this event offers unbeatable value for dog lovers, kids, and families. Join us Saturday, June 14, and Sunday, June 15, to see over 600 dogs compete and enjoy a weekend packed with fun.
Spectators can:
Meet the Breeds: Chat with breeders, owners, and handlers about your favorite dog breeds and learn what makes them special.
Watch Conformation: See top dogs from across the Midwest strut their stuff in the ring, judged by renowned AKC experts. Breed judging times posted on the club's website.
Cheer for Puppies: Marvel at the Four-to-Six Month Beginner Puppy Competition (Saturday Morning only), where adorable puppies vie for Best in Show.

Support Junior Showmanship: Cheer on young adults showcasing their handling skills with their dogs, competing in the AKC Junior Handlers classes.
Shop Unique Pet Products: Explore over a dozen vendors offering top-brand grooming supplies, one-of-a-kind leashes, and exclusive dog items, with live demonstrations.
Grab a Bite: Savor lunch, snacks, and drinks at on-site concession stands, perfect for a family day out.
Take Free Dog Show Tours: Learn the ins and outs of dog shows with guided tours for all ages. 10am and 1pm both days.
"The Summer Dog Shows are the perfect Father's Day event for dads who love dogs, family fun, and great deals," said Debbie Hoselton spokesperson for the Skokie Valley Kennel Club. "With free admission, incredible competitions, and unique pet products, it's a day to make memories in Lake County."
Visitors are asked to leave personal pets at home, as only competing dogs are allowed.
