~ Sonoma Raceway was buzzing with excitement on Friday as two-time Top Fuel world champion Brittany Force made history once again. The talented driver delivered the fastest run in NHRA history, clocking in at a stunning 343.16 mph in her 12,000-horsepower Monster Energy dragster at the Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals presented by PowerEdge.

Known as "The Queen of Speed," Force shattered her own record of 341.85 mph that she had set just a week prior in Seattle. As the world's fastest female and daughter of iconic Funny Car driver John Force, Brittany continues to blaze a trail and break records when it comes to speed and performance. With this latest achievement, she skipped right past the 342-mph mark and reached an incredible 343.16 mph.

In an interview after her record-breaking run, Force credited her entire team for their hard work and dedication. She expressed her pride in their accomplishment and the incredible feeling of achieving such a feat in front of the packed stands at Sonoma Raceway.

On her record-breaking run, Force shared that her car had moved around a bit but she remained determined to push through and reach top speed. She also mentioned that she couldn't hear anything on her radio during the run, making it even more surprising when she heard the final speed announced.

Force's journey to this record-breaking moment began at the start of this season when she held the speed record of 338.94 mph, which had stood since 2022. In just a few short months, she has added nearly five mph to that record, showcasing an impressive speed ascent.

Since April, Force has made seven runs of 340 mph or faster, setting new landmarks and milestones in the sport along the way. With 18 wins under her belt, she is now tied with legendary Shirley Muldowney for the most wins in Top Fuel history. Additionally, Force has made nine of the 10 fastest runs in Top Fuel history.

In an interview, Force expressed her amazement at what her team has been able to accomplish with their car. She also shared her appreciation for the incredible atmosphere at Sonoma Raceway, especially during a night run with the stands packed with fans.

Videos of Force's record-breaking run and a recap highlight can be found online. As she continues to make history and push the limits of speed in NHRA, Brittany Force remains proud and grateful for the opportunity to drive this car and work with her team.
