~ The City of Tacoma's Equity in Contracting (EIC) team is taking steps to address disparities for historically underutilized businesses owned by minority, women, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. In line with their ongoing efforts, the team will be hosting a "Bonding Basics" workshop on February 19 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

The workshop will be conducted in a hybrid format, offering both in-person and virtual options for attendees. Those who choose to attend in person can do so at the Tacoma Municipal Building located at 747 Market St., Room 243. The event will feature Kara Skinner, an industry expert and author of "The Little Black Bond Book," as the keynote speaker. Along with the EIC team, Skinner will be available to answer questions from attendees.
