Scott Evan Davis Highlights Children's New Experiences in Vibrantly Illustrated Story
NEW YORK - Washingtoner -- Author Scott Evan Davis encourages children to embrace their differences and be themselves in his much-anticipated, debut children's book Queen Bea - available on most online retailers today including Amazon and Barnes & Noble. In this first week of Spring, Davis launches his story time book about a young bee who wonders whether she truly belongs in the hive.
With illustrations by Tadgh Bentley, the story is an adaptation of Davis' original musical with the same name, and is rooted in his signature themes of belonging, bravery, and discovering your own inner light. When a bee named Beatrice hatches into a golden hive bursting with buzzing energy, she's shockingly told she's the new queen! How could that be? With so much noise, so many expectations, and what feels like a thousand eyes watching her every move, Bea begins to doubt herself. She sadly leaves the hive in search of quiet, connection and a way to make sense of the world.

"For every child who has ever felt overwhelmed by the noise of expectations, Queen Bea offers comfort, courage, and the glow of hope. This heartfelt story reminds us that thinking differently isn't a flaw—it's a powerful gift." --Marcie Colleen, Author of Penguinaut! and Survivor Tree
Told with humor and warmth, Queen Bea is a vividly illustrated picture book that celebrates sensitivity as a superpower. Young readers will cheer for Bea as she discovers confidence in herself and learns that leadership doesn't require being the fastest bee. Perfect for ages 5-9 (and younger listeners for story time).
Families and educators will welcome this entertaining contribution to children learning about new experiences. Queen Bea has already earned multiple five-star ratings from Reader's Favorite.
"I know a lot of kids going through different thinking challenges are going to feel really seen after reading Queen Bea." --Aubrie Therrien, Founder of Epic Players, a Neurodiverse Theatre Company
