~ The Tacoma City Council has announced that a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at approximately 5:15 p.m. to gather oral comments on the proposed 2026 Amendment to the One Tacoma Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Regulatory Code. The hearing will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and virtual attendance options.
According to city officials, the meeting will also be live-streamed on TV Tacoma and tacoma.gov for those unable to attend in person. Full access details can be found on the city's website.

In addition to oral comments, written submissions will also be accepted by the City Clerk's Office until 5 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026. These comments can be submitted via email or mail and will be compiled and shared with the City Council as well as posted online.
To further inform community members about the proposed amendments, an information session will be held at STAR Center on Saturday, May 9 from 1-3 p.m. This session is open to all and aims to provide accessible and family-friendly information about the changes. Those unable to attend can also visit tacoma.gov/codeamendments for more information.
