New solution gives CISOs and MSPs real-time visibility, DLP enforcement, and policy control over employee AI usage
SEATTLE - Washingtoner -- New solution gives CISOs and MSPs real-time visibility, DLP enforcement, and policy control over employee AI usage
Seattle, WA -- April 7, 2026 -- Cinder Labs, an AI governance and security company, today announced the general availability of AIRA Shield, a purpose-built platform to detect, monitor, and control unauthorized AI usage across the enterprise. AIRA Shield addresses Shadow AI -- employees using non-sanctioned AI tools that expose sensitive corporate data to third-party models without organizational oversight.
More than 75% of employees now use AI tools at work, most without IT approval. Confidential data -- from M&A details to customer PII -- is routinely fed into AI services with no audit trail and no way to recall it.
"Every organization we talk to has the same blind spot," said Jeromie Jackson, CEO at Cinder Labs. "Employees are copying sensitive data into AI tools every day, and security teams have zero visibility. AIRA Shield closes that gap with enforcement at the network and browser layers -- not just alerts after the fact."

Three-Layer Protection Architecture
AIRA Shield operates at three levels simultaneously:
Built for MSPs and the Channel
Unlike endpoint vendors bolting AI governance onto existing EDR/XDR platforms, AIRA Shield is architected for channel-friendly deployment. Each customer receives a dedicated, single-tenant Docker instance with centralized licensing, making it straightforward for MSPs and MSSPs to provision, manage, and bill across their client base.

Key capabilities include real-time Shadow AI detection across 50+ AI services, DLP pattern matching for PII, PHI, financial data, and credentials, user override with mandatory business justification, executive reporting in PDF, DOCX, and PPTX formats, AI service discovery, guardrails enforcement with transaction logging, and fleet management for agent health monitoring.
Availability and Pricing
AIRA Shield is available immediately with per-seat pricing and MSP/MSSP volume tiers. Visit www.cinderlabs.ai/shield or contact sales@cinderlabs.ai.

Three-Layer Protection Architecture
AIRA Shield operates at three levels simultaneously:
- Desktop Agent -- A lightweight network proxy (Windows, macOS, Linux) that intercepts HTTPS traffic to AI services, scanning for sensitive data patterns including SSNs, credit card numbers, API keys, and custom patterns.
- Browser Extension -- A Chrome extension that intercepts data before it leaves the browser, catching fetch requests, form submissions, and WebSocket traffic to AI domains.
- Centralized Policy Engine -- Configurable enforcement modes -- alert, monitor, or block -- per rule, per service, giving security teams granular control without disrupting productivity.
