A plaque ~ The Queen Elizabeth, a luxurious cruise ship known for its British heritage and impeccable service, has arrived at the Port of Seattle for the first time. This marks the beginning of a highly anticipated season of Alaskan voyages for the newly refreshed ship.

Cunard's Queens have been synonymous with luxury travel for 185 years, and now Queen Elizabeth will be homeported in Seattle for two exclusive seasons. Liz Fettes, Senior Vice President of Commercial for North America at Cunard, expressed excitement about bringing their renowned White Star Service to the region.

According to Fettes, "Historic grandeur, refined elegance, bespoke experiences and unparalleled personal service are cornerstones of a Cunard voyage." She also added that their view of luxury is rooted in the belief that experiences can be both elegant and relaxed, which is reflected in their Alaska voyages aboard Queen Elizabeth.

The ship has undergone a stunning refresh, with revitalized signature spaces and an elevated Princess and Queens Grills experience. This includes expansive suites, added amenities, butler service, and access to private spaces and restaurants on board. In addition to new interiors, guests can also enjoy an exquisite three-course Gala Evening menu designed by Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux exclusively for Grill Suite guests.

But that's not all – Queen Elizabeth also offers The Pavilion Wellness Café and Harper's Bazaar® Wellness at Sea program. This includes three bespoke Journeys that offer wellness treatments, nutritious smoothies, rejuvenating masterclasses, and a selection of ELEMIS products.

Guests can book spectacular Alaskan voyages ranging from seven to 11 nights from June-September 2025. Rates start from $1,109 per person for a balcony stateroom based on double occupancy. The itineraries include captivating ports such as Ketchikan, Glacier Bay National Park, Skagway, Juneau, and Victoria in British Columbia. Guests will have the opportunity to soak in the pristine beauty of Glacier Bay National Park and Hubbard Glacier, as well as enjoy scenic days viewing the Inside Passage, the longest sheltered inland waterway in the world.

Onboard, guests can also look forward to enriching experiences tailored to Queen Elizabeth's Alaska season. This includes a speaker series with experts from the Royal Canadian Geographical Society (RCGS) sharing insights into the region. There will also be a "Locals Onboard" speaker series featuring 11 Alaskan speakers, including a master Tlingit dance group, a Denali expeditionist, and local historians, artists, and photographers. Cunard will also showcase wines from regional wineries on board.

The Port of Seattle is thrilled to welcome Cunard and Queen Elizabeth for their first homeported season in Seattle. According to Port of Seattle Executive Director Steve Metruck, this partnership marks a major milestone in their efforts to expand economic activity and support local jobs through cruise tourism. He also mentioned their shared vision for sustainability and responsible tourism.

After her Alaskan summer, Queen Elizabeth will continue her North American residency by repositioning to Miami in October. This marks the first time Cunard will dedicate a ship to a full season in the Caribbean. Guests can look forward to new onboard entertainment offerings, including performances by Broadway and West End performers such as Tony Award-winner Sutton Foster and an exclusive production of Come From Away.
