For students and professionals of all ages, the conference provides an opportunity to interact with colleagues and experts and advance career goals.
"I've always been interested in healthcare and engineering, specifically putting the two together and the necessity of how much we need new technology within the healthcare sector," Kim Kaleta, a student from Kennesaw State University, said during the 2025 conference in an IISE Problem Solved podcast.
"This conference helped me find a job, and it's an amazing job, a really good place for me to nurture myself and my skills," said Devpradnya Kadam of UF Health.
"The network that I have formed from the conference continues to grow each year and results in applications and case studies that can be shared with students, as well as motivation for new class projects, research or even in some cases consulting opportunities," said Jennifer Percival, a regular attendee and SHS president-elect.
