~ Spokane residents can now dust off their golf clubs and hit the greens as the Creek at Qualchan and Esmeralda golf courses have officially opened for the season. As of Monday, March 2, these two City of Spokane courses are welcoming players to book tee times and enjoy a day out on the course.
Tee times for both courses became available at 8 a.m. today and can be reserved through SpokaneGolf.org or by calling the respective courses directly. The Creek at Qualchan can be reached at 509.448.9317 while Esmeralda's number is 509.487.6291.
Golfers will be pleased to know that both courses are offering permanent greens, allowing for a more consistent playing experience. Additionally, carts will be allowed on the course and the driving ranges and restaurants will be open for use.

The Creek at Qualchan is known for its challenging layout, offering modern target-style golfing in a beautiful natural setting. With a par of 72, this course features a meandering creek, five ponds, and well-protected greens.
Meanwhile, Esmeralda is perfect for players of all skill levels with its open space and flat fairways lined with over 2,000 trees. This course is often where many golfers' love for the sport begins.
As for other City of Spokane golf courses, opening dates for Downriver and Indian Canyon have yet to be announced.
The City of Spokane Parks & Recreation department takes pride in maintaining nearly 120 properties spanning over 4,000 acres of park land. In addition to manicured parks and natural lands, they also oversee aquatic centers, sports complexes, an arboretum, and offer hundreds of recreation opportunities for all ages and abilities.
