~ Spokane, WA - The City of Spokane is now accepting applications for Spokane Tourism and Cultural Investment (TACI) grants, according to Communications Director Erin Hut. These grants are available to organizations that contribute to the city's tourism and cultural scene.

The main objective of this program is to attract more visitors to Spokane and support its diverse cultural offerings. The funding for these grants comes from state law RCW 67.28.1817, which imposes a lodging excise tax on hotel stays. The revenue generated from this tax is then used to fund initiatives that promote tourism in the city.

The TACI grants aim to establish Spokane as a premier cultural and tourist destination. Each organization can apply for a maximum grant of $10,000. To assist with the application process, a pre-recorded grant workshop providing technical assistance is available online.

Interested organizations must submit their applications by Tuesday, March 31 at 5 p.m. The selection process will involve a thorough review and evaluation of each application's eligibility and competitiveness through the City of Spokane's online portal.

This funding opportunity presents an exciting opportunity for organizations to contribute to the growth and development of Spokane's tourism industry while showcasing its vibrant culture.
