~ Tacoma, WA - The City of Tacoma's Community & Economic Development Department is offering a free workshop to assist local entrepreneurs in navigating the ever-changing world of artificial intelligence (AI). The workshop, titled "AI For Small Business: Practical Tools for Real Growth," will take place on March 10, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. at the Tacoma Public Library.
Led by industry experts The Data Guys, the workshop aims to demystify AI and provide hands-on demonstrations. It is open to entrepreneurs, early-stage startups, and established small businesses in various industries such as retail, food services, construction, and professional services. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to effectively and responsibly apply AI in their day-to-day operations.
The two-hour workshop will cover topics such as understanding what AI is (and isn't), practical use cases for businesses, strategies for marketing and content generation, customer service automation basics, and methods for improving workflow efficiency. Participants will also gain insight into prompt design fundamentals for better results and discuss responsible AI use regarding privacy, bias, and data considerations.
