FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Washingtoner -- Lineus Medical announces that SafeBreak® Vascular has been added to Alliant Purchasing's contract portfolio, expanding access to the breakaway IV technology across Alliant's extensive healthcare network. Alliant represents more than 280 hospitals and over 68,000 non-acute healthcare facilities across all 50 states. This agreement enables Alliant members to procure SafeBreak Vascular through streamlined contracting, supporting supply chain efficiency while bringing clinically proven IV complication reduction to a broader patient population.

SafeBreak Vascular is a breakaway device for IV lines clinically proven to reduce IV complications.¹ When a harmful force is placed on the line, SafeBreak intentionally separates to remove the damaging force and protect the patient's IV. When separation occurs, valves on both ends of the device close to prevent medication spills from the pump and blood loss from the patient. Patients avoid additional needlesticks, nurses save time, and hospitals save money.¹

"Joining the Alliant portfolio strengthens our ability to serve healthcare systems at scale," said Larry Hayes, Chief Commercial Officer of Lineus Medical. "Group purchasing organizations(GPO) like Alliant play a critical role in helping hospitals evaluate and adopt innovative technologies while optimizing their supply chain operations. This contract provides a clear procurement pathway for Alliant members and supports our commercial growth as we continue expanding SafeBreak's presence in hospitals nationwide."

"The addition of SafeBreak to the Alliant GPO contract is a significant step forward in our mission to remove the pains associated with IV lines," said Vance Clement, CEO of Lineus Medical. "This agreement means that thousands of healthcare facilities across the country now have simplified access to SafeBreak."

The Alliant contract adds to Lineus Medical's growing presence in the group purchasing space, providing healthcare facilities with accessible options for adopting SafeBreak Vascular as part of their IV protocols.
