FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Washingtoner -- Lineus Medical announces that SafeBreak® Vascular has been added to Alliant Purchasing's contract portfolio, expanding access to the breakaway IV technology across Alliant's extensive healthcare network. Alliant represents more than 280 hospitals and over 68,000 non-acute healthcare facilities across all 50 states. This agreement enables Alliant members to procure SafeBreak Vascular through streamlined contracting, supporting supply chain efficiency while bringing clinically proven IV complication reduction to a broader patient population.

SafeBreak Vascular is a breakaway device for IV lines clinically proven to reduce IV complications.¹ When a harmful force is placed on the line, SafeBreak intentionally separates to remove the damaging force and protect the patient's IV. When separation occurs, valves on both ends of the device close to prevent medication spills from the pump and blood loss from the patient. Patients avoid additional needlesticks, nurses save time, and hospitals save money.¹
