The city has announced that they are now accepting applications for the Community Arts Projects funding program, which aims to support publicly accessible arts programming in Tacoma.
According to the guidelines, the funding can be used for a variety of arts-focused projects, including but not limited to artistic presentations, activities, events, workshops, experiences, festivals, performances, or other projects that are accessible to the general public. These projects must take place within Tacoma city limits and be completed between January 1 and December 31, 2026.
Interested applicants can apply for either $4,000 or $6,000 for their project. The application deadline is October 27, 2025 at 11:59 PM and all submissions must be made online.
Eligibility for the funding extends to private non-profit corporations with a 501(c) designation, organized groups of people working together for a specific mission or purpose, for-profit businesses or educational institutions producing non-profit projects, and tribes or Native non-profit organizations. It is required that applicants have offices or conduct a majority of their activities within Tacoma city limits.
