~ Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown has ordered all flags at City facilities to remain lowered on Saturday, Dec. 7, in honor of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. This directive follows Governor Jay Inslee's call for all state agency facilities to lower their state and U.S. flags on the same day.
According to Erin Hut, Communications Director for the city, Mayor Brown is encouraging residents and businesses with flags outside their homes or establishments to also lower them as a sign of respect for the Americans who lost their lives and were injured during the Pearl Harbor attack.
