~ As the City of Spokane continues to make improvements to its streets, the Street Department has announced the start of a new grind and overlay project on Boone Avenue. According to Erin Hut, the Communications Director for the city, crews began work on Tuesday, Aug. 26 and are expected to finish by Monday, Sept. 8.
The project will cover Boone Avenue between Washington and Monroe Streets and will involve lane closures. Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists are advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes during peak traffic times. Drivers should also anticipate slower speeds and potential delays.
