iVAM2-MPEG Wohler Technologies, Inc
Plus two new 12G SDI monitors, coupled with the launch of four monitors with GPI/O support

SAN FRANCISCO - Washingtoner -- Wohler is pleased to announce the launch of our latest innovation, the iVAM2-MPEG SRT monitor.

This 2RU unit can decode MPEG SRT MPEG2, H.264 or H.265 HEVC transport streams, at bitrates up to 35Mbps. The unit parses out MPEG transport streams and presents operators with PID (packet identifiers) tables, allowing for independent selection of audio and video PID's for decoding and monitoring. Overlays on the video display, allow for monitoring of Closed Captions and subtitles embedded in the MPEG transport stream. Audio monitoring for AAC, Dolby Digital+ and MP3 is supported. The unit provides two 4.3" LCDs for an easy-to-operate touch screen interface complemented by a built-in webserver, enabling operators to configure presets, upgrade the unit, and view audio meters remotely.

Wohler is also releasing two new 1RU 12G-SDI units to its line-up of high-performance 12G SDI monitors: the iVAM1-SUM16-12G with a 7" touch screen and the iAM1-MIX8-12G with a 7" touch + tactile knob interface. Both monitors provide 12G-SDI, in addition to 3G-SDI.

We are pleased to announce four additional GPI/O capable AV monitors: the iVAM1-1-G, iVAM2-2-G, iVAM-SUM16-G and the iAM1-MIX8-G. These new monitors provide 4x GPI's and 2x GPO's, which can be enabled via a software license key. All four units, recognizable by the "-G" at the end of their product names, replace the otherwise identical current models without GPI/O support.

Last, Wohler is also introducing an optional 12G SDI re-embed feature, to re-embed 16 audio channels chosen from any connected audio source in the 12G SDI BNC output. Available on the iAM1-12G and iVAM1 & iVAM2-12G monitors, the feature is available via software activation.

"We are very pleased to get an MPEG monitor back into our product line-up," explained Makarand Karanjkar, CEO. "We had an inquiry from a major customer and were able to turn it from concept to shipping product in a short period of time, while adding H.264 and H.265 HEVC monitoring to our previous MPEG 2 monitoring know-how. This demonstrates the future-proofed engineering approach as we continue value-adding our best-of-breed monitors."
