The initial promise of $48 million in funding was seen as a crucial step in securing American competitiveness in aerospace manufacturing. However, with this sudden reversal, Mayor Brown believes that both the regional and national economy will suffer.

Mayor Brown is now calling on the congressional delegation to join her in demanding that the Trump Administration reverse this decision. She believes that the region deserves better and that this move by the U.S. Commerce Department is a mistake that will have negative consequences for both local and national economies.
