Spokane, Wash. – A new Riverfront Park shuttle service and urban zipline are coming to downtown Spokane, courtesy of Mica Moon. The shuttle service begins Friday, May 1, while the zipline is anticipated for late summer/fall 2026.
In 2023, Mica Moon was selected through a competitive bid process to fully fund, build, operate, and maintain the zipline and shuttle service on City property. The project has worked its way through outreach, feasibility, design, and permitting, and is now in construction.
"These projects are really about enhancing what's already here," said Drew Stewart, CEO of Mica Moon. "Riverfront Park is one of the most unique and historic places in Spokane. If we can help people experience more of it, more comfortably, and with a deeper understanding of its history—that's a win for everyone."
"It's exciting to welcome a new anchor attraction near Riverfront Park downtown, connecting people to one of the most incredible views of the river through an exhilarating zipline," said Garrett Jones, City of Spokane Parks & Recreation. "And, the addition of a park-wide shuttle service improves access to all corners of Riverfront. These concepts were envisioned in the Riverfront Park Master Plan as positive activations, and it's fulfilling to see local operators Mica Moon bring them to life."
The zipline and shuttle service are fully funded by Mica Moon and utilize no City or Parks funds, while generating permit revenue for Parks & Recreation.
Shuttle Service & Narrated Historic Tours
Opens May 1
Riverfront Park Connect, a new loop shuttle and historic tour, will begin operations Friday, May 1. The new system is designed to improve mobility throughout Riverfront Park while creating a more engaging and inclusive experience for visitors of all ages and abilities.
"People have been asking for years for something like the old Riverfront Park train to come back," said Stewart. "We saw an opportunity to bring that feeling back—but in a more flexible, accessible, and modern way. This isn't just transportation—it's a new way to experience the park."

Narrated Historic Tours:
"We wanted to make the park easier to explore—especially for families, seniors, and anyone who might not want to walk long distances," said Stewart. "At the same time, we wanted to create something that adds value to the visit, not just convenience. Even if you've been to Riverfront Park dozens of times, the historic tour gives you a completely new perspective. You're hearing stories, seeing different vantage points, and really connecting with the history of the park in a way you normally wouldn't."

Zipline
Coming late summer/fall 2026
Spokane Skylines will be an exhilarating 1,400' urban zipline that promises an unforgettable journey through history, nature and pure adrenaline, from a perspective that's never been possible before.
The zipline boards from the Place of Truths Plaza behind City Hall, and runs west along the south side of the Spokane River banks under the southern main arch of the Monroe Street Bridge. It ends at Redband Park within Peaceful Valley.
"We designed Spokane Skylines with two side-by-side cables because the best adventures are shared ones," said Stewart. "Whether it's parents with kids, friends, or couples, this experience brings people together while showcasing the natural beauty that makes Spokane extraordinary."
Construction is anticipated to begin in May. An exact opening date, hours of operation, and pricing will be finalized as construction nears completion later this summer or fall.
Under the agreement with the City, Mica Moon will provide 1,000 tickets annually to charitable organizations and underserved youth.

About Mica Moon Zip Tours: Where Wonder Takes Flight in the Pacific Northwest
Hidden in the forested hillsides of Mica Peak, just outside Liberty Lake, Washington, lies an adventure that transforms ordinary days into extraordinary memories. The journey begins with history steeped in intrigue. The name celebrates the premium moonshine that made the mountain famous during prohibition years, when illicit liquor was crafted by entrepreneurial moonshiners in hidden mountain camps whose flickering lights could be glimpsed from the Spokane Valley below. Today's Mica Moon delivers a different kind of rush— "an adrenaline high."
The three-hour guided zipline tour features nine lines, including the legendary "Big Mama"—one of the longest ziplines in the country at over 3,500 feet. At the highest point in the tour, guests find themselves 500+ feet above the ground, moving at just over 60 mph while the forest canopy lies below. But the adventure doesn't stop there. Mica Moon is also home to one of the largest aerial trekking parks in the country, nestled in the valley above a mountain creek. This world-class park features platforms stretched between challenging course elements—wobbly bridges, Tarzan swings, rope ladders, wine barrel bridges, and "the Leap of Faith" freefall. Designed as a choose-your-own-adventure experience, trekkers can tackle the elements that excite them and skip those outside their comfort zone, making it perfect for everyone from age six to grandparents.
The accolades speak volumes. Mica Moon won TripAdvisor's "People's Choice Award," placing in the top 10% of all outdoor attractions worldwide, has received Certificate of Excellence recognition year after year, earned Visit Spokane tourism awards, and has been voted Spokane's #1 outdoor activity for years.
What truly sets Mica Moon apart is the transformation it sparks in every visitor. Mica Moon's mission is simple yet profound: to provide an opportunity to experience the forest's natural treasures from unique perspectives, celebrating wonder, memories with loved ones, and growth. Whether you're seeking an adrenaline rush, team-building, or a bucket-list experience, Mica Moon offers the exhilaration of stepping off the edge and discovering you can fly.
