~ Spokane City Mayor Lisa Brown has issued an order for all flags at City facilities to be lowered to half-staff, following Governor Bob Ferguson's directive for state and U.S. flags to be lowered in honor of four fallen soldiers. The soldiers, Chief Warrant Officer Three Andrew Cully, Chief Warrant Officer Three Andrew Kraus, Sergeant Donavon Scott, and Sergeant Jadalyn Good, were tragically killed in a helicopter crash on September 17, 2025 while serving in the United States Army.

According to Erin Hut, Communications Director for the city, Mayor Brown is encouraging individuals with flags outside of their homes or businesses to also lower them as a sign of respect and remembrance for these brave soldiers. The flags will remain at half-staff until the end of business hours or sunset. This gesture serves as a tribute to the sacrifices made by these four individuals in service to their country.
