The independent platform offers professionals a place to present their work, projects, interests and ambitions beyond the traditional résumé.
SEATTLE - Washingtoner -- Qustone announced the launch of its Professional Network, an independent online community designed to help people create meaningful profiles, share their work and projects, build trusted relationships, and discover opportunities together.
The platform is founded on the belief that professional identity cannot be fully captured by a résumé, job title or demographic category. While conventional professional networks often organize people around employment history, credentials and standardized labels, Qustone encourages members to present a broader account of who they are, what they have learned, what they are building and how they hope to contribute.
Members can use their profiles to share their experience, skills, interests, published work, current projects and future goals. The intention is not to replace professional qualifications or employment history, but to place them within a more complete and human context.

"A résumé can tell you where someone has worked, but it rarely tells you what they care about, what they are capable of building or who they are becoming," said Qustone founder Robert Thagard. "We want people to have a professional space where their ideas, projects, interests and contributions can be seen alongside their experience."
Qustone's approach is informed by human-centered principles associated with identity, autonomy, belonging, contribution and trust. The platform does not define people primarily through generational categories such as Baby Boomer, Generation X, Millennial or Generation Z. Although those terms may be useful in demographic research, Qustone does not treat them as reliable measures of an individual's ability, relevance, character or potential.
Instead, the network is designed around the person as the accountable center of professional activity. Technology is intended to help individuals express their capabilities, connect with others and participate in shared projects without reducing them to categories or encouraging them to present a narrowly standardized version of themselves.

"With no outside investors pressuring us to inflate our numbers, we are growing naturally - one real person and one genuine connection at a time," Thagard said. The company is instead inviting early members to help establish the network's culture by creating thoughtful profiles, introducing their work, sharing projects and inviting people they know and trust.
That slower approach reflects a broader concern about the structure of large centralized social platforms, where scale can sometimes take precedence over meaningful interaction. The network is intended for people who want to do more than list previous roles. A member might use a profile to document a research interest, present a business idea, share a creative project, describe a technical skill, seek collaborators or explain the kind of opportunity they hope to pursue next.
