Music supervisors are the gatekeepers of sync licensing. Some work independently, while others are on staff at film & TV studios, production companies, ad agencies, corporate brands, indie filmmakers, and even film schools. What Happens When You Get a Placement?

If your song is selected for use, you will receive an email notification with details, including the airdate or release date when possible. Payments for placements typically follow industry-standard timelines:
Why Haven't My Songs Been Heard or Placed Yet?
Sync licensing is a competitive industry, and placements don't happen overnight. Some tracks may get picked up in a week, a month, or even a year or more. If your music is of high quality and properly tagged, it will appear in searches when music supervisors are looking for something specific.
What Rights Are Granted?
Most film and TV placements request all-media rights in perpetuity, though terms may vary depending on the project. Advertising placements may range from a few months to several years.
