Marks 106 Years with a Rebrand That Unites Liberty Transportation & Storage, Lincoln Moving & Storage, and Liberty Facility Services Under One Identity

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J. - Washingtoner -- The Liberty Group Company, a family-owned organization rooted in New Jersey since 1920, is proud to announce two milestones at once: the celebration of its 106th year in business and the formal launch of a unified brand identity that brings its three specialized service companies under one cohesive name.

The rebrand formally introduces The Liberty Group as the parent organization overseeing Liberty Transportation & Storage, Lincoln Moving & Storage, and Liberty Facility Services — three distinct companies, each serving different needs across New Jersey and beyond, all operating under the same founding values that have defined this family business for over a century.

A Legacy That Started With a Single Truck

The Liberty Group's story begins in 1920, when the company's founder — an Italian immigrant who came to New Jersey near the turn of the century — started a business delivering ice. As he regularly traveled between New Jersey and New York, neighbors began asking him to transport furniture. He recognized the demand, expanded his services, and as powered vehicles replaced earlier delivery methods, Liberty Transportation and Storage was formally established.

The business was passed down through generations of the Lusardi family, growing steadily in response to the evolving needs of the communities it served — joining national van lines, expanding warehouse capacity, and eventually building out entirely new service divisions. What started with a single truck is now a multi-company organization with capabilities spanning residential and commercial relocation, long-term storage, warehousing, and full-service building maintenance.

"Our founder started this business by simply showing up and helping people," said a Liberty Group spokesperson. "106 years later, that's still what we do — just with three specialized brands built to serve every part of our customers' needs."

The Rebrand: One Group, Three Distinct Brands

The formal rebrand of The Liberty Group reflects the organization's growth and its commitment to clarity. The three companies now share a unified visual identity under The Liberty Group umbrella — each with its own refreshed logo, positioning, and service focus.

Liberty Transportation & Storage — libertytransportation.com

The flagship company and the original bearer of the Liberty name since 1920, Liberty Transportation & Storage provides full-service residential and commercial moving, packing, storage, and long-distance relocation as an authorized United Van Lines agent. Licensed and fully insured, the team handles moves of any size — from single-room relocations to large-scale corporate transitions — with the professionalism and care the Liberty name has represented for over a century.

Lincoln Moving & Storage — lincolnmovingnj.com

With origins dating back to 1890, Lincoln Moving & Storage is the group's second moving brand — bringing its own deep history and loyal customer base to The Liberty Group family. Lincoln specializes in residential and commercial moving across New Jersey and surrounding areas, offering the same licensed, fully insured, professional service experience under a brand identity that honors its long-standing legacy.

Liberty Facility Services — libertyfacilityservices.com

Liberty Facility Services is The Liberty Group's full-service building maintenance division, serving commercial property owners and managers across New Jersey and surrounding areas. Acting as a single point of contact for all facility needs, the team handles everything from pressure washing to major capital projects including roofing, paving, masonry, and interior fit-out. The goal is straightforward: let Liberty Facility Services manage your building so you can focus on running your business.

One Group, Built for the Long Haul

By formally aligning three operating brands under a shared identity, The Liberty Group makes it easier for customers, partners, and communities to understand the full scope of what this organization can do. The rebrand preserves The Liberty Group's identity at the parent level while giving each company a refined presence that is modern, professional, and distinctly its own.

All three brands remain family-owned, New Jersey-based, and committed to the standards that have defined this organization since 1920.

"We've grown significantly, and this rebrand reflects that honestly," the spokesperson added. "Our customers deserve to know who we are, what we stand for, and how we can serve them — not just through one brand, but through three. The Liberty Group is the name behind all of it."
