~ At approximately 3:15am on April 25th, 2025, the Spokane Police Department (SPD) received multiple calls reporting a shooting at a gas station on Montgomery and Division. According to Officer Daniel Strassenberg of the Public Information Office, two individuals were shot and officers were quickly dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers found two victims in the parking lot and immediately began life-saving measures. Unfortunately, one of the victims did not survive their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and is currently in critical but stable condition.

The SPD Major Crimes Unit (MCU) has taken over the investigation and is asking for any information regarding the shooting. Those with information are urged to contact Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
The incident has been assigned reference number 2025-20080190. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
