According to Erin Hut, the Communications Director for the city, this move will allow for easier sharing of short posts, images, and videos.
To connect with the city and Mayor Lisa Brown on BlueSky, users can follow @spokanecity.org and @mayorspokane.bsky.social. However, the city will continue to utilize other social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, Nextdoor, LinkedIn, Vimeo, and YouTube to share important updates and information.
