NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Washingtoner -- Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition Partners with Crimson Global Academy to Support Excellence in Education

Nashville, TN – September 1st , 2025
– The Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition (NICPC) is proud to announce a new partnership with Crimson Global Academy (CGA), a world-class online private school that empowers students through flexible, internationally recognized education.

Through this collaboration, NICPC winners and their families will have access to exclusive educational opportunities, including:
  • 50% tuition scholarship at Crimson Global Academy for the first-place winner in the Young Musician II competition category.
  • A $500 reward for each family enrolling through the NICPC network.

This partnership reflects NICPC's ongoing commitment to nurturing not only artistic excellence but also the broader personal and academic growth of its participants. By combining the rigor and prestige of international competition with CGA's flexible, globally accessible learning model, students can dedicate more time to refining their artistry while continuing to pursue academic excellence from anywhere in the world.

"At NICPC, we believe that excellence in music and excellence in education go hand in hand. Partnering with Crimson Global Academy allows us to provide our young pianists with a unique opportunity to balance both, ensuring they thrive on stage and in the classroom," said Graciella Kowalczyk, President and Artistic Director of NICPC.

CGA graduates have gone on to leading universities worldwide — including Oxford, Cambridge, the Ivy League, and top institutions across the US, UK, and Asia-Pacific.

Q: What role do you think creativity and artistic expression play in shaping future leaders and innovators?

Jamie Beaton: 'Creativity is the force that turns knowledge into originality. The best founders, scientists, and policy makers I've met pair technical mastery with artistic habits: curiosity, pattern-recognition, storytelling, and the courage to interpret the world differently. Young musicians live this every day—hours of deliberate practice followed by a moment on stage where judgment, emotion, and precision must align. That mindset is exactly what the future demands from leaders and innovators.'

Q: Why do you think online education is well-suited to support young people with artistic and creative passions?

Jamie Beaton: 'Online education is uniquely powerful for student-artists. It lets you design your day around rehearsals, travel, and performances without compromising academic stretch. At CGA, students can mix live group classes, 1:1 instruction, and self-paced study, sit US Dual Diploma Program or College Board AP courses, or pursue our Pearson Edexcel A-Levels —all from anywhere, across time zones. That flexibility, plus world-class teachers and clear assessment pathways, means talent doesn't have to choose between the practice room and the classroom.'

Q: How does this partnership highlight CGA's commitment to recognising and celebrating excellence across different disciplines?

Jamie Beaton: 'This partnership signals our belief that excellence is multidimensional. Whether it's a breakthrough in math, a startup prototype, or a breathtaking Chopin nocturne in Nashville, the discipline and ambition are the same—and we want to champion it all. By standing alongside a competition that elevates young pianists on a global stage, CGA is reaffirming our commitment to recognise, resource, and celebrate peak performance across the arts as much as in STEM or entrepreneurship.'
