Southwest Florida periodontal and implant specialists strengthen their commitment to affordability, transparency, and patient-centered care through expanded insurance participation and complimentary second-opinion consultations designed to make specialized treatment more accessible to all patients.

SARASOTA, Fla. - Washingtoner -- Eastman Craighead Periodontics, a leading provider of periodontal and implant care in Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch, has launched two initiatives to enhance patient access and convenience: expanded in-network insurance options and complimentary second opinions for treatment plans.

Expanding Insurance Access

The practice is now in-network with Beam, DNOA (BCBS affiliates), GEHA/Connections, Guardian, United Concordia, and Cigna Total Advantage (Zelis), helping patients reduce out-of-pocket costs for specialty care. Some networks may take up to 90 days to fully reflect coverage.
Patients with MetLife PPO Plus plans will continue to receive a 20% discount on surgical procedures, underscoring the team's commitment to affordability and transparency.

Complimentary Second Opinions

To help patients make informed treatment choices, Eastman Craighead Periodontics offers free second-opinion consultations. Patients can bring an existing treatment plan for review, during which the team discusses options, evaluates costs, and recommends minimally invasive solutions when appropriate.

Services covered include dental implants, laser therapy (LANAP®, LAPIP®), tissue grafting and regeneration, and bone and sinus grafting.

Advanced Care, Personal Focus

For more than 40 years, the practice has combined cutting-edge technology—such as 3D imaging, computer-guided implant placement, and regenerative procedures—with a patient-centered approach. Registered Nurses assist in sedation, anesthesia, and post-operative care, while complex surgical cases are supported through the Manatee Surgical Center.
