~ At 1:22pm on October 7th, 2025, a high-speed collision involving two vehicles was reported to 911. According to multiple callers, one of the vehicles involved was a motorcycle traveling at an estimated speed of 90 mph. Upon arrival at the scene, police and medics found the motorcycle operator lying on the road. Sadly, due to the impact of the collision and the high speeds involved, the 19-year-old male operating the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary information suggests that the motorcycle struck the rear of another vehicle. Prior to this tragic incident, officers from the Spokane Police Department (SPD) had spotted the same motorcycle near Nevada and Francis. The officers attempted to pull over the motorcycle as it did not have any license plates displayed. However, it failed to stop and instead sped away north on Nevada at an alarming speed. The officers did not pursue it any further.
