~ As the Upriver Fire continues to ravage through the community, the residents of Spokane are coming together to support their neighbors and first responders. The fire, which has already caused significant damage, has prompted the closure of Camp Sekani Park until further notice. This decision was made in order to ensure the safety of both the public and those working tirelessly to contain the fire.

However, recreational access remains open on public land to the west of the park. This includes areas such as Esmeralda Golf Course and Spokane County's Shields Park, as shown on a map provided by authorities.
