~ Spokane Police Department Seeks Community Help in Fatal Auto/Pedestrian Collision

The Spokane Police Department is asking for assistance from the public in locating a vehicle of interest connected to a deadly auto/pedestrian accident that occurred on June 20th. According to Officer Daniel Strassenberg, the department's Public Information Officer, the incident took place at around 4:15 am near 9200 North Newport Highway.

A 911 call was made reporting the collision and stating that the vehicle involved had fled southbound. The pedestrian who was struck by the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are now searching for a 2001-2007 Toyota Highlander, possibly bronze in color, as seen in photos released by the department.

Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect vehicle is urged to contact Crime Check at 509-456-2233. The Spokane Police Department is counting on community cooperation to help bring justice for the victim and their loved ones.
