Major Upgrade Underway to TacomaFIRST 311
Customer Support Center Mobile App and Online Platforms
TACOMA, Wash. – During tomorrow's Study Session, the Tacoma City Council will receive an update from Tacoma FIRST 311 Customer Support Center staff on a major upgrade that is currently underway to its mobile app and online platforms. The upgrade will include a new version of the mobile app, available for free starting June 20 on Apple and Android app stores, that will make it easier for Tacoma community members to:
Since its establishment in the fall of 2013, the Tacoma FIRST 311 Customer Support Center has addressed the needs of more than 500,000 Tacoma community members who have reported non-emergency issues to the City of Tacoma from their mobile devices and computers.

- Notify the City of Tacoma of requests for non-emergency City services.
- Tag locations using enhanced mapping features.
- Attach photos of specific problems/requests.
- Receive timely responses from the City of Tacoma.
- Be notified of specific requests and general City of Tacoma updates.
