~ Spokane, WA- In a show of respect and remembrance, Mayor Lisa Brown has ordered all flags at City facilities to be lowered to half-staff following the passing of Deer Park Mayor Tim Verzal. The decision was announced by Erin Hut, Communications Director for the City of Spokane.
Mayor Brown expressed her condolences to Mayor Verzal's family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Deer Park community. She praised his dedication to the community and the Inland Northwest region, stating that he will be greatly missed.

In honor of Mayor Verzal's memory, Mayor Brown is encouraging those with flags outside their homes or businesses to also lower them to half-staff. The flags will remain at half-staff until Tuesday, September 15th.
