~ Tacoma, WA - The City of Tacoma, in collaboration with Tacoma Public Schools and Korsmo Construction, is excited to announce the return of T-Town: City Services Expo & Job Fair at the Tacoma Dome on November 1st and 2nd. This free event offers a unique opportunity for residents to interact with city departments, explore career options, and participate in engaging activities.

Themed "Play. Explore. Learn. Work.", T-Town has something for everyone in the family. Attendees can enjoy trick-or-treating at the "Truck-Or-Treat" event while visiting city booths, dressed in family-friendly costumes. Various city departments will have their vehicles on display for attendees to explore, including Environmental Services Solid Waste, Tacoma Rail, Public Works, TV Tacoma, and Tacoma Fire.

In addition to the interactive city booths, T-Town will also feature a Trades & Hiring Fair in partnership with Tacoma Public Schools and Korsmo Construction. High school students will have the opportunity to explore career pathways in industries such as maritime, transportation, logistics, and construction. The fair will also have approximately 100 booths from local trades-related companies, educational institutions, and apprenticeship programs offering job opportunities for both youth and adults.

Other highlights of the event include a behind-the-scenes look at the iconic Tacoma Dome and its rich history through the "Backstage at the Tacoma Dome" exhibit. There will also be a sensory hour on Saturday morning for individuals who prefer reduced sensory stimulation.

Rhubarb the Reindeer, beloved mascot of the Tacoma Rainiers baseball team, will make a special appearance on Saturday afternoon. Attendees can also grab a bag of popcorn and watch screenings of the Tacoma Dome's 40th anniversary film throughout the event.

Free parking will be available at the Tacoma Dome for all attendees. More details about T-Town can be found on tacomadome.org/t-town as they become available. Businesses interested in participating in the Trades & Hiring Fair can sign up on the website.

T-Town: City Services Expo & Job Fair is a free community event that aims to engage residents of all ages and highlight the wide range of services offered by the City of Tacoma. This event was previously held in 2016 and 2018, with a job fair added in 2023 in partnership with Tacoma Public Schools and Korsmo Construction.
