Tacoma Dome Welcomes Class of 2026

~ As graduation season approaches, the Tacoma Dome and Greater Tacoma Convention Center are gearing up to host a total of 22 ceremonies for high school and college graduates in 2026. The Tacoma Venues & Events (TVE) team, responsible for managing these iconic gathering places, is expecting tens of thousands of attendees to celebrate this milestone with their loved ones.

According to TVE Director Adam Cook, every graduate who walks across the stage at the Tacoma Dome adds to its legacy as a place of achievement, pride, and community connection. The TVE team takes great pride in creating the magic of these pivotal moments and shared memories for graduates and their families.

Aside from being a significant moment for graduates, these ceremonies also have a significant economic impact on the greater Tacoma area. Since the mid-1980s, around two million graduates and attendees have passed through the doors of the Dome, resulting in millions of dollars in economic impact. Last year alone, over 8,600 graduates and 72,000 guests attended ceremonies at the Dome, generating nearly $2 million in economic impact. With similar numbers expected for this year's ceremonies, local businesses are preparing for increased traffic as visitors stay at hotels, dine at restaurants, and explore all that Tacoma has to offer.
