~ Tacoma, Wash. - The City of Tacoma is taking steps to address the training and employment needs of its community by hosting two informational workshops on December 19, 2024. These workshops, organized by the Local Employment and Apprenticeship Training Program (LEAP) team, will be held at the Tacoma Municipal Building in Room 243.

The workshops, which will take place from 8 to 9 AM and 3:30 to 4:30 PM, will offer both in-person and virtual attendance options. The LEAP team aims to provide an overview of the program, including workforce utilization requirements and how businesses can determine if their employees' hours meet LEAP requirements for City-funded public works or related service contracts.
