~ Tacoma, Wash. - The City of Tacoma has announced that the intersection of Northeast 29th Street and Norpoint Way NE will be closed for maintenance on May 19, 2024. According to the media contact, Maria Lee, the closure is expected to last from 6:30 AM to 6 PM and will affect all directions of traffic. This closure is necessary for maintenance work and will include traffic control and detours to help minimize disruptions for drivers.

The closure is weather-dependent and is also contingent on a nearby sewer line being repaired beforehand. As a result, the timing of the closure may be subject to change. Community members with any questions or concerns about this project can contact Arterials Supervisor Derrick Wells at (253) 591-5430.
This temporary closure is part of ongoing efforts by the city to maintain and improve its infrastructure. The City of Tacoma appreciates the community's understanding and cooperation during this time.
