Tacoma: Homicide Investigation and Arrest– 6400 block of McKinley

On December 5, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 6400 block of McKinley Avenue for reports of a vehicle collision. A short time later officers were informed that there was possibly an occupant of one of the vehicles with a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, officers located a 14-year-old victim and immediately began lifesaving measures. The Tacoma Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries.

During the course of the investigation, an adult male turned himself in to detectives at Tacoma Police Headquarters, claiming to have been involved in the shooting. He was booked into the Pierce County Jail for Murder in the first degree.

Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians responded and are investigating this incident as a homicide.
