~ Tacoma's Equity in Contracting Program will host an interactive workshop on financing and growth in public contracting on Oct. 27.
The event, "Capital Ready: Preparing Businesses for Growth in Public Contracting," is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. at Edison Square, 5415 S. Tacoma Way. The city says the workshop is intended to help Tacoma-area businesses understand financing options and build relationships with local capital providers.
A panel moderated by Scott Lundt, co-owner of clean energy solutions firm LED Trail, will discuss financing readiness, working capital, lender expectations and common barriers to obtaining capital. The discussion will also cover funding for equipment purchases, contract performance and larger public-sector opportunities.
