A read-only Model Context Protocol server lets compliance teams and managed security providers query their real-time governance, risk, and control data in plain language.
SEATTLE - Washingtoner -- CinderLabs today released the AIRA Governance MCP, a Model Context Protocol server that connects AIRA, its AI governance and GRC platform, to AI assistants such as Claude. Governance, risk, and compliance teams can now ask about their live posture and get answers drawn directly from their own data, instead of clicking through dashboards.
The server exposes 48 read-only tools spanning compliance frameworks, controls and evidence, findings and risk exposure, AI system and model inventory, governance and policy, assessments and audit, vendor risk, and oversight of agentic AI and other MCP servers.
For managed security providers, a single credential can survey an entire client portfolio and then drill into any one client. Access is enforced on the server: a credential can only ever read the tenants it owns, so one provider can never see another client's data.

The server is read-only by design. It answers questions and never changes records, which makes it safe to connect directly to production governance data. It installs as a one-click desktop extension and asks only for the instance address and a read-only key.
"Compliance has lived in dashboards that people read. This makes it something an AI assistant can actually answer, and act on, in plain language," said Jeromie, founder of CinderLabs. "It also means the agents themselves can be governed and queried, not just the humans."
