Tobias sees more than 4,000 pitch decks a year and writes about 10 checks. "For every company I back, there are hundreds of CEOs for whom I'm just not the right investor," said Tobias. "I always wanted to do something for them. The right investor is out there for everyone, and Investor Match helps founders find them."
The second reason is how pre-seed investing works. Incisive invests only at pre-seed, so when portfolio companies raise a seed or Series A, Tobias's job is to make introductions to the next investors. Investor Match includes a workflow for VCs like him to make more warm intros through the platform, and every Incisive portfolio company uses it to raise follow-on financing.
