~ Tacoma, Wash. - The City of Tacoma's Equity in Contracting (EIC) team is taking steps to address disparities for historically underutilized businesses owned by minority, women, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. On April 24, the team will be hosting a virtual workshop and Q&A session titled "Bonding Basics."
The workshop will feature industry expert and author of "The Little Black Bond Book," Kara Skinner, who will speak about various topics related to bonding. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions to both Skinner and the EIC team.

The event will cover important aspects of bonding such as what surety is, types of bonds, project and contract review, costs associated with bonding, underwriting, financial statements, indemnity, and red flags for contract bonds. Registration details can be found on makeittacoma.com/events.
