Tacoma: Arrest Made in 2021 Homicide

~ At 7:33 a.m. on October 12, 2021, Tacoma Police officers were called to the 3100 block of East M Street after a deceased person was found on the side of the road. The victim was an adult female and was confirmed to be deceased by Tacoma Fire Department personnel at the scene.

The cause of death was initially unknown and detectives and forensic services personnel were called in to investigate. The Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office also responded and determined that the woman's death was a homicide.

After five years of investigation, on September 3, 2026, Tacoma Police detectives made an arrest in connection with this case. The suspect, a 59-year-old male, was taken into custody and booked into Pierce County Jail for Murder in the First Degree and two counts of Rape in the Second Degree.

The identity of the suspect has not been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact Tacoma Police.
