~ Yesterday, the Spokane Police Department (SPD) arrested two convicted felons and requested charges on a third in connection with the burglary of an automobile liquidation business in the 3800 block of North Division.

The incident occurred on 10/24/23 at 10am when SPD patrol officers responded to a report of numerous stolen vehicles from the business' lot. It was determined that a person or persons had broken into the business and stolen multiple sets of keys. Later that morning, several people returned to the business and took a total of 8 vehicles during several trips back to the dealership between 2 and 5:30am.

Investigators from SPD's Stolen Property Enforcement and Recovery (SPEAR) Unit quickly worked to identify the suspects and recover the vehicles. By early afternoon officers had located 4 cars in an apartment complex in North Spokane and shortly afterwards arrested Fran Anunar (19). Anunar is charged with 8 counts of vehicle theft and 1 count of commercial burglary and was booked into the Spokane County Jail late yesterday. Anunar is a 3 time convicted felon to include 2 burglary convictions.

Today, 10/25/23, SPEAR continued their investigation and arrested Heran Linfield (20). Linfield was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, residential burglary, obstructing a law enforcement officer and an outstanding felony warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle. Linfield has one prior felony conviction. A third person was identified as a suspect in the thefts and charges were requested on the adult female.

SPD has recovered all but one of the stolen vehicles. The investigation is ongoing with additional arrests pending according to Julie Humphreys, Public Safety Communication Manager for SPD.
