~ The Spokane City Council is looking to appoint members of the community to pro and con committees for two ballot measures. The first measure proposes a continuation of the increase in the regular property tax levy for Library operations for a three-year period from 2025-2027, while the second measure proposes an increase in the regular property tax levy for Citywide Park Improvements and Safety for a twenty-year period beginning in 2025.

The committees will prepare arguments in favor of, and in opposition to, the ballot measures as well as rebuttal statements, consistent with SMC 01.07.010 and Spokane County's Administrative Rules. The ballot measures are expected to be voted on at the February 13, 2024 special election.
