FREDERICK, Md. - Washingtoner -- PearlFection Dentistry is proud to announce that Dr. Adrianne Golly has joined the practice as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMS). Dr. Golly is board-certified with a decade of experience covering the full spectrum of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures. Her extensive training and experience encompass dental implant surgeries, wisdom teeth extractions, anesthesia, dental-alveolar procedures, hard and soft-tissue facial trauma, oral and facial pathology, jaw surgery, and facial cosmetic surgery.  Dr Golly's true specialty is implant supported denture cases, where she is a world leader, with over 4000 "all on four" hybrid dentures cases done, including zygomatic and pterygoid implants. For these cases Dr Golly performs the surgery and implant placements and teams up with a prosthodontist who does the denture portion of the procedure.

Born and raised in Spokane, WA, Dr. Golly received a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Washington State University in 2002, then earned her doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland in 2007. She went on to complete her oral and maxillofacial residency at Louisiana State University, where she also earned her medical doctor (MD) degree.

Dr. Golly is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS). As the only certifying board for the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery in the United States, ABOMS is dedicated to improving the knowledge and skills of oral and maxillofacial surgeons nationwide.

She also enjoys spending time with her animals, including a chocolate lab, one horse, and two ponies.

Dr. Golly brings her expertise to the Frederick Maryland and Urbana Maryland PearlFection Dentistry locations along with the state-of the-art Maryland Sedation Dentistry and Surgical Center (MSD&SC) in Frederick. Each of these facilities provide access to the most advanced oral surgery equipment and technology available, including IV sedation and general anesthesia for patients requiring these services. As an Oral Surgeon, Dr. Golly has obtained the knowledge and expertise necessary to treat a wide variety of functional and cosmetic conditions impacting the bone, skin, or muscle tissues of the face. Wisdom teeth extraction, facial reconstructive surgery, dental implants, and cancer surgeries are among the important procedures leveraging this unique skill set. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is one of 12 specialties currently recognized by the American Dental Association. The term "maxillofacial" specifically refers to the jaw and face. Oral surgeons are also trained and certified to provide sedation and anesthesia, including the IV sedation used during more invasive procedures. They often work closely with general dentists and other specialists including endodontists, prosthodontists, and periodontists to ensure the best course of treatment.
