Chuck St. Pierre, PhD, CTM, will lead Jake Newton, [title], and Jameson Ritter, CTM, CPP, PSP, PCI, Director of Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management, through their experience on the committee. The session will cover what changed in this version of the standard, how organizations should use it as a working tool for workplace violence prevention and intervention, and an open Q&A with attendees.
CPPS has also published a resource page to help organizations prepare for the revised standard. The page covers what the standard is, what's changing, and what it means for an existing program. It's available at cpps.com/new-asis-ansi-standard.
"This revision changes what a defensible program looks like. Three of our people helped shape it, and organizations deserve to hear what changed from people who were in the room. We want leaders to leave the session knowing exactly where their program stands and what to do next," said Korey Staley, Vice President of CPPS.
