~ As Thanksgiving approaches, the City of Tacoma has announced that administrative offices will be closed on November 28 and 29 in observance of the holiday. This includes the Tacoma Recovery & Transfer Center, which will be closed on November 28, along with the Recycle Center and Household Hazardous Waste Facility. As a result, there will be no garbage, recycling, or yard/food waste curbside collection on that day. Residents are advised that all curbside collection for the rest of the week will occur one day later than usual, with Friday's collection taking place on Saturday.

According to Maria Lee, Media & Communications representative for the City of Tacoma, specific information regarding curbside collection for individual addresses can be found on the city's website at cityoftacoma.org.
In addition to administrative offices and waste facilities being closed, all Tacoma Public Library facilities will also be closed on Thursday, November 28. Furthermore, there will be no parking enforcement by City staff on both Thursday and Friday.
The City of Tacoma encourages residents to plan accordingly and wishes everyone a happy Thanksgiving holiday.
