~ Tacoma, Washington - On December 4, 2024, District 2 Council Member Sarah Rumbaugh will be hosting a town hall event at the University of Washington Tacoma to discuss the issue of homelessness in Downtown Tacoma. The event, which will take place from 6 to 7:30 PM in Milgard Hall, Room 110, will be structured as a community dialogue.
According to Council Member Rumbaugh, the purpose of this town hall is to bring together members of the community who live, work, and play in downtown Tacoma to collaborate on finding solutions for this complex issue. She encourages all interested individuals to participate in the discussion.
In order to ensure a smooth and inclusive event, community members are encouraged to register in advance. Attendees are also encouraged to take public transportation or utilize paid parking on campus. Maps and directions can be found on the University of Washington Tacoma website.

The City of Tacoma strives to host events that are accessible for all individuals, including those with disabilities.
