~ Tacoma's Public Works Department has announced that road repairs will be taking place on South 19th Street from January 5th to the 9th. The Street Operations Division will be working daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the designated area, which stretches from South Jackson Avenue to Grandview Drive West.
To ensure the safety of motorists and workers, traffic will be reduced to one lane during active construction hours. This may cause potential delays for drivers, and they are advised to seek alternate routes if possible.

Fortunately, there are no plans for full road closures as part of this project. However, residents in nearby neighborhoods, including those in University Place, may experience some changes in access and traffic patterns during construction.
The schedule for this project is dependent on weather conditions and may be subject to change. To stay updated on the latest information, notice boards will be posted at the site. Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling through the area.
For any inquiries about this project, community members can contact Project Manager Thomas Adams at (253) 591-5495.
