Tacoma Dome and Tacoma Rescue Mission Partner for Socktober Community Sock Drive

~ As October approaches, the Tacoma Dome is gearing up for a special partnership with the Tacoma Rescue Mission. The two organizations have joined forces to launch Socktober, a month-long community sock drive aimed at providing support to individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship.

According to the press release, clean and warm socks are one of the most requested items at shelters. Socktober offers a simple yet powerful way for the community to make a meaningful impact and help those in need.

Throughout the month of October, concertgoers and local residents are encouraged to donate new, unused socks at designated collection bins. These bins can be found at the Tacoma Venues & Events (TVE) booth on the Tacoma Dome Plaza and at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center. In addition to making a difference in their community, donors will also have a chance to win various prizes such as event tickets and merchandise packages.
