~ Spokane Parks & Recreation is gearing up for their annual Tree Trot 5K Fun Run Fundraiser, set to take place at Finch Arboretum on Saturday, October 3. The event aims to raise funds for a new willow-themed playground at the arboretum.
Participants can choose between a running group, which will start at 9 A.M., or a walking group at 11 A.M. This inclusive format allows for people of all fitness levels to participate, whether they are seasoned runners or simply looking for a leisurely stroll with family and friends.
For those unable to attend on October 3, the marked course will remain open for several weeks to accommodate registrants who wish to complete it at their convenience.
The Tree Trot 5K Fun Run will be held at Finch Arboretum located at 3404 W. Woodland Blvd in Spokane. Pre-registration is available online through the Tree Trot 5K Registration website. Participants can register in advance for $30 as an adult or $20 as a youth (16 years and under), which includes a t-shirt. Day-of registration will also be available for $35 without a t-shirt.

To ensure that participants receive their Tree Trot 2026 t-shirt in time for the event, they must register by Friday, September 25. For those who register after this date, t-shirts can be picked up 1-2 weeks after the event.

This includes manicured parks, natural lands, aquatic centers, golf courses, sports complexes, and an arboretum.
